The narrative that should be getting pushed back on any athlete, male or female, when they make the bullshit argument of "I'm for protecting women's sports" needs to be "tell me about an instance where a trans person hurt women's sports?" There aren't any. It's just whiny assholes who say they do.

WNBA should stop waffling and stand up for their LGBTQ fans and players. It’s morally correct but also financially correct. Most who watch WNBA LIKE that its diverse and a bit funky. That’s the product. We like it. Stop chasing the “average” fan. Not every product is for every person.

The historical growth of women’s basketball has taken a pincerlike shape, with ambition and boundary-smashing idealism on one end and fearful pragmatism on the other. Pragmatism, for the WNBA, has often come in the form of trying to appease some apocryphal average fan who would love the league if it were just a little less Black, a little less gay, a little less inviting of gender fluidity.

Forget, for a moment, that every effort the WNBA has made to cater to this perceived fan has backfired. The league is no longer in survival mode. For so long, the WNBA’s decision-making was animated by the need to answer anxiety-inducing questions about growth. The growth has happened, and it’s continuing.

Spoke to my friend Mitch McConnell this morning, the senior Senator from Kentucky. He's still recovering in the hospital. We talked for just shy of 20 minutes ... about IRAN, UKRAINE, the unfolding situation in MAINE, my visit to the TR Presidential Library, and even a little bit of Senate history

The reflecting pool mess started funny but there's absolutely nothing funny about the DOJ securing an indictment of a man for touching a pond because the president made up a conspiracy theory about vandals that it needed to validate. That's totalitarian

Breaking news: A grand jury in D.C. has indicted David Hearn, a three-time Olympian, for allegedly vandalizing the newly refurbished Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. More details here:

Tell me you're out of touch without saying a word about it. Who can afford a 2000 or a $2,500 deductible before your insurance kicks in? I about have to be dying before I want to use my insurance because it's too damn expensive.

The extent of Trump's destruction of Washington, D.C., is truly stunning. It's the ultimate metaphor. The algae-infested Reflecting Pool. The destroyed grass from the UFC event. The bulldozed East Wing grounds. "86 47" etched into the lawn near the Reflecting Pool. REUTERS/Aaron Schwartz

The refs aren't THE reason why the Knicks are losing. But here's the thing about it: If it was just the Spurs being white hot I'd throw up my arms, what are you going to do? Of it was just that and the Knicks failures, I'd be sad. But the refs being so obviously one sided is ENRAGING.

Oh wow, Clearwater did a similar study: "That study concluded Clearwater residents could save millions of dollars on their utility bills if the city formed its own utility." If cities and FL can do it, so can cities in NC. #ncpol

The city council in St. Petersburg, Florida, voted last week to fund a study of whether it would be in the community's best interests to walk away from Duke Energy and form its own municipal utility.

I know I'm a broken record, but Trump *not* releasing his taxes as he promised and the IRS *not* auditing his taxes every year and releasing the results like they have for every goddamn president for forty years is the actual scandal. This won't outlast his term and should be fought right now

The U.S. Justice Department's agreement with President Donald Trump to bar future audits into his or his family's past tax records will remain in place even as his weaponization fund has been put on hold, two sources familiar with the matter said on Tuesday.

CBS just dismantled the most important and popular news show in the history of television at the behest of a president who regularly sics the FBI on his critics. Here’s why some NYU kids complaining about Jonathan Haidt represents the greatest threat to free speech that our country faces.
