Everytime some MAGA bizbro says “we need less red tape” remember what they really mean is more cancerous soot in the air, more disease in the water, more access to cheat finances, and more diarrhea in your lettuce. Government is a good thing when used appropriately.

Wolves come up short. Spurs deserved the game. Better team tonight and refs didn’t cost the game. But that Brothers incident was ridiculous and unprofessional. A ref who has the demeanor to go after a coach has no business being an NBA playoff ref.

That Palantir would do this is both shocking—not because this is some weird heel turn, but because it is a fully mask-off moment for tech bro fascisti—and also the least surprising thing from a company that has always been creepy as fuck.

⚠️ Palantir released what it describes as a vision for “The Technological Republic” in which it argues AGAINST democratic and cultural pluralism and FOR militaristic supremacy enforced by a technocratic elite who produce AI weaponry. These points stand out:

21. Some cultures have produced vital advances; others remain dysfunctional and regressive. All cultures are now equal. Criticism and value judgments are forbidden.
Yet this new dogma glosses over the fact that certain cultures and indeed subcultures ... have produced wonders. Others have proven middling, and worse, regressive and harmful.

22. We must resist the shallow temptation of a vacant and hollow pluralism. We, in America and more broadly the West, have for the past half century resisted defining national cultures in the name of inclusivity. But inclusion into what?

People will be closely studying how Hungary's opposition pulled off their win in such a pro-incumbent system. Important to note that the theme was corruption. Democrats need to get much better at calling out Trump's corruption.

Why are markets reacting to this? We’ve now claimed victory like 10 times, “obliterated” Iran’s military multiple times only to ask for help from our allies, and claimed we were negotiating which Iran then denies. Why does the market move on Trump’s lies?? www.theguardian.com/business/liv...

After months of relentless rapid response in Minneapolis, members of Defend the 612 had a moment to breathe and reflect on the lessons they’ve learned, the grief they carry, and the citywide fellowship they hope will endure. The crisis is not over, and I’m grateful they made time to speak with me.

“We Belong to Each Other Now”: Lessons from Minneapolis

“This extreme closeness, togetherness and intimacy — you cannot infiltrate your way into a space where you'll understand that," says May, a rapid responder in Minneapolis.

The only question left by the Supreme Court decision on tariffs is: What the fuck is wrong with Thomas, Alito, and Kavenaugh? The Constitution could not say more clearly that only Congress has the power to impose taxes. Can't those three justices umderstand a simple, direct English sentence?
