WHAT IF instead of charging cosplayers and other con-goers $100+ to 3D scan them and print a miniature version, you instead built a huge fake 3D printer that they can pose on the platform, snap a photo and share immediately with frens online, “look what I just printed!”

A desktop FDM 3D printer with a badly Photoshopped Xenomorph cosplayer standing within the print volume.

I am sorry everyone, I don't understand the appeal of Bowser. He has nothing I like, no snout, no fur, no belly, a fucking SHELL. How am I supposed to navigate that? Half his body is hidden behind a spiked flesh shield. He is probably MOIST all the time and smells bad. He has 9 kids. He sucks.

Exclusive: We obtained a leaked playbook that Flock gives to cops to coach them on "how to speak to city council" to avoid getting their contracts canceled. Includes strategies like "own the narrative" by talking to mayor "before public comment periods" www.404media.co/own-the-narr...

While they try to vilify Fauci over words like "convinced," let's be serious. This is an obvious witch hunt to ruin his reputation because Sen. Paul is upset that Fauci basically called him a "quack" in their first Senate hearing on COVID.

This is public knowledge gate keeping. "Only my model gets to train on this knowledge" thinking doesn't guarantee that the model will ever share that knowledge again. Nor does it ensure the release back to the public at large if the model is retired or the company dies. #FuckAI

No longer content with pillaging intellectual work and dismembering our environment (already critically weakened), AI companies are now hellbent on destroying books galore including rare editions. Shut down these nefarious enterprises already.

I absolutely LOVE my 1/2" gauges with the 8g captive bead rings through them! I've worn the CBRs in them since the start of Pride Month, though now rocking black rings with rainbow beads. I can't wait to be able to wear another smaller set of CBR's through my accent tunnels once I get them! ♥️

Watercolor Journey: Dahan in Vernazza (7/20) Back in Vernazza, I found another perfect spot to paint. The afternoon light created beautiful shading. This scene features Dahan, appreciating the contemplative life, as cats tend to do.

I could get far, the owner of the house came out to see what I was doing. Our Italian-Spanish-English conversation wasn't getting us anywhere. He was not upset, tho, he seemed fine with it, but I'm shy and I got intimidated so I finished this painting later, not live.

The brightness of Betelgeuse changes periodically. For decades astronomers had suspected that some of these variations could be due to a companion star orbiting around it. Now, the VLT has captured the clearest image ever of Betelgeuse B, a faint star orbiting Betelgeuse. 🔭 🧪 2/4

A telescopic image of Betelgeuse’s companion. The image is filled with a noisy pattern of bright and dark features, but there is a particularly bright object towards the lower-left. A white circle at the centre of the image indicates the size of Betelgeuse, which has been removed. Image by ESO/M. Montargès et al.

First world problem is getting ready to dive our pool on the air-line to vacuum, listen to tunes on underwater headphones, and carefully set moving lights to give good bottom lighting... ... then discovering we had the pool heater off the past few days due to maintenance and it's NOT 85F anymore.🥶❄️

I found a beautiful spot to paint in Vernazza. What I didn't expect was becoming a tourist attraction myself. People stopped to watch, compliment me and ask questions. Very scary for a shy panda! I eventually got used to painting with an audience, and even had a lovely chat with another artist.

Just because you had a "decent" childhood and "caring parents" doesn't automatically mean you have no trauma from the way you were treated at times. Sometimes it takes a lot of reflection in middle-age to realize just how undeserving you were of many awful things that were thrown your way.
