Sometimes it’s okay not to express your complicated opinion on something when you know it’ll upset people. I know your opinion is important to you, but that isn’t the gold standard of importance.

So embarrassing when people think the point of reading a novel is to know the plot, so a summary is just as good. The plot isn’t important, you rube. You absolute simpleton. The point of reading a novel is to find out what the characters are eating and start thinking about what you want for dinner.
Flunking out of college was ironically one of the most enlightening events of my life. For ages I thought, “Maybe I’m just dumb.” But I learned quickly enough that some real dumbasses are also highly educated. “I need AI to help me summarize a High School-ass book.” It’s kind of freeing to realize.
this is gonna make me cry laughing. 137 year old company still treats Americans like idiots the good old fashioned way
They still do, at least Nintendo of America does. If you watch a UK Nintendo Direct you'll see that they just say "game" instead of "the [game] game" like in the US. Which means that they make the narrator record two versions of the same line every time he mentions the name of a Nintendo game.
Also: is it just me, or is the Doctor Who logo getting smaller and smaller on all the recent books
Also very funny that The Vampire Mutation has now been relevant to Dr. Who books twice this year
The Six Doctors and The Vampire Mutation are an interesting choice to adapt as books, but my golden goose would be Dicks' version of The Brain of Morbius (since the version we got on TV is entirely rewritten by someone else, unlike the other two)

Captain N: The Game Master - Mega Man Robot Masters finalized designs (Air Man, Bubble Man, Crash Man, Metal Man.)
if I ever taught film criticism lesson one would be “you being smarter than the movie is not interesting to anyone”
Just seen someone use the phrase "Out of side and out of mind"
Must admit I did not have "Rob Shearman novelizing The Power of Kroll" on my 2026 Dr. Who Bingo card. Exciting!
Coming 29th October 2026 Doctor Who: The Key to Time Six segments. One quest. The fate of the universe at stake. For the first time, all six stories in the Key to Time saga, together in a single collection, featuring THREE brand new novelisations! amzn.to/3TvV4Hx #ad
I am really, as the kids say, "cooking" with the video I'm working on 👀
With Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey" arriving in cinemas, I felt it was a good time to return to the source material, and share some thoughts on the differences between modern English translations of Homer's original. (1/24)
The new Red Dwarf book is very interesting, it's fascinating to see this world portrayed through a 2020s lens as opposed to a 1990s one. I'm very much enjoying it so far! The celery penis disease is really making me laugh
I don't like that larper has become a new insult, considering larping is an actual cool and niche hobby, and we already had words like poser or performative loser.
You know that old one about the War Chief being the Master? Well, in Mark of the Rani, the Rani says, “I've been coming to this wretched planet for centuries […] The Trojan wars, the Dark Ages, the American War of Independence.” i.e. the plot of The War Games. The War Chief is the Rani! #DoctorWho
In 2023, concept art was revealed by Super Mario RPG artist Jiro Mifune where the party was inspired by The Three Musketeers, and included Wario. The posts were soon deleted, but I have restored the images to the best of my ability.
Always fun to look through Dr. Who camera scripts - I never knew that Bob Baker and Dave Martin created the whole "Doctor flicking through copious amounts of text in an instant" schtick, not Douglas Adams!
I’m just going to add on my favorite quote from him in this year’s Hobonichi (his company)
