The Warren Ellis news is indeed profoundly concerning in the circumstances.

However Ellis barely disappeared. He's been outputting work for years. He did a podcast audio drama in 2024 with James Callis, Alicia Witt, Nolan North, and Carla Gugino, among others. There have been other projects too. This guy never experienced consequences for anything, nor atoned.

I was hoping Image would have a change of heart and that it would never happen so to say that I'm extremely disappointed in the company is an understatement. Hopefully the backlash will quell further comics plans so be loud with your disdain.

So, image likely agreed to bring him back shortly after he decided to fob off the folks who tried to work with him on rehabilitation? Not to be a conspiracy theorist, but I wouldn't be surprised if that impacted his decision to tell so many of us to get f'd.

I've been sitting on this information (that Image will be bringing Warren Ellis back) for two or three years (can't remember exactly) but I couldn't do anything about it because of the off-the-record way in which I found out and because I didn't know when it would be happening.
