in re Ray Bradbury's "There Will Come Soft Rains" (which, in the original Martian Chronicles, occurs on today's date), I didn't realize the very first published version of the story, in Collier's magazine, was set in April 1985. (the current edition of Martian Chronicles now sets it in 2057).
I was googling some dialog from a puzzle in genshin impact to identify which puzzle it is so I could find hints, and the google AI seems to think I've been in some kind of coma or cryostasis for hundreds of years? this is genuinely the weirdest one of these I've ever seen

Bar a few exceptions, book cover art and design has become so uninspired and boring in the 21st century, like everything else that's fallen to the practice of blanding. Book covers such as these below were so enticing and exciting. I really miss this.
