I am being judged for the fact there is a drizzle, A DRIZZLE, and I am not switching it off. Scampi is very offended by my lack of action and is now staring morosely out at the hint of dampness. It is an affront.

Dreamt last night that on a whim I got a train from Glasgow to a city in Yugoslavia. Not Serbia, or Slovenia or any of the countries that exist now, Yugoslavia. Apparently trains run directly there from Glasgow and into the past. It was bloody excellent though, the city was fantastical!

The worst is when you don't understand it yourself, when you develop a chronic illness and suddenly things that seemed easy (keeping the house tidy, keeping yourself clean) are like a mountain in front of you. It's just so difficult to comprehend and adjust.

I don't think people quite understand chronic illness, what it's like to "wake up tired" but still have a million things to do. Deciding where to invest your energy as you're operating on 20% of what everyone else has. Even the most basic stuff like washing yourself or making a meal is draining.
