The sad fact of the matter is, I have started to maintain a list of places where it is unsafe for me to go, even in Europe. And the UK currently tops that easily. I wanted to see Scotland again, Skye and the Hebrides especially. But I guess I won’t, not like this.

Okay, controls are somewhat wonky, e.g. you cannot complete the tutorials (or even navigate the menus) with the PS VR2 Sense controllers. But using a DualSense works quite well, and the VR2 headset makes you quite literally feel like sitting in a plane. Small stomach flutters during turns included.😳

Es vergeht kein einziger Tag mehr, nicht einer, an dem nicht furchtbare, menschenverachtende Gewalttaten an Frauen bekannt werden. Der #Frauenhass in unserer Gesellschaft ist so massiv, dass ich einfach nicht verstehen kann, warum nichts gegen die #Manosphere die das glorifiziert unternommen wird.

jesus fucking christ what? this is fucking awful. among the myriad reasons to loathe ai, chief among them is the way accusations of its use is deployed by bad actors to sew misinformation. when nothing can be proven to be true, everything is up for debate.

There is a German review tradition called the “gepflegter Verriss”, meaning a withering yet witty excoriation of a piece of media. A negative review can be informative yet entertaining, as long as it contains intelligent critique. I really don’t get the apparent ‘scandal’ around Ms Wilson’s review.🤷🏼♀️

To post something lighter, #straygame bz @annapurna.com is on sale for Switch. Though the Switch 1 version makes noticeable sacrifices to make it run on the platform at all, it remains a wonderful game. And a certain drop shadow problem aside, it looks gorgeous in the native S2 version.
Oh those were the days. But we need to acknowledge we are not Google's customers. We are the product. We are being sold to their advertisers, and in that they have gotten ever better.

The world … feels dark. There is so much news like that about Amnesty UK caving to the millionaire who shall not be named. Trans people cannot win this. Not on our own. We need cis allies in this fight, queer and straight, who might make the rest finally recognise our humanity, see we are kin.
