I've sent a draft petition to Edinburgh Council asking it to: *do everything it can to investigate and put in place measures to temporarily mend or brace the bridge or hire a replacement, while a longer term solution is sorted out.* May get rejected as council already working on the issue.

A final note adds that amphibians and reptiles will thank you too.

I'm delighted to reveal that Warriston Cemetery was just used as a location for the Netflix series Dept.Q. We tried to keep it quiet so filming could happen without too much attention.The Blackmoor structure is entirely fake but beautifully made; the"stone" is indistinguishable from the real stuff.

We’re relieved to hear that Hamlet, a 4-year-old Golden Eagle, has recovered from his injuries and been released back into the wild after being shot in the Borders. It comes after the suspicious disappearance of two other Golden Eagles, Tarras and Wren, in the south of Scotland in August. 🧵

Did you know that Warriston Cemetery once had its own chapel? Built in 1842-3 & demolished by 1930, all that remains are scant black & white photographs, Victorian engravings & the original Edinburgh Cemetery Company plans that are held within the Peddie archive, now part of HES. 1/
