Amazon failed to process a refund for an item I returned a month ago, and of course didn’t notify me (I guess they would have just kept my money). Thankfully I was already watching it. When contacting them, their customer service AI tried to lie to my face that it had already been processed.

Added some fans to my cable modem with the power of over-engineering and 3d printing. Didn’t like the available models…so made my own! They’re pulling out an impressive amount of heat! This thing never should have been passively cooled alone; it falls over under heavy traffic.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the topic of people who are “eager blockers”, and specifically the idea that others disagreeing with them doing so are expressing entitlement. And as much as I wanted to disagree with that, I don’t think I can. People having a right to cultivate their input wins out.

Profit motive too often outweighing higher priorities (like peoples’ and the planet’s health and wellbeing) certainly is a vast & active problem…but I think you can imagine solving that & we’d still be individually overwhelmed trying to keep pace with the collective speed of 21st century humanity.

Unsure if this is a hot take, but I firmly believe that everything would be better, from politics to social media posts, if people focused more on what they SUPPORTED rather than what they HATE. Yes, even when the thing they hate truly sucks. Don't lose what makes you happy to what makes you mad.
