Russ Vought just sent a rescissions request to Congress, signaling he intends to illegally impound funds. The $810 million highlighted in this “request” (but this is a pretext to just illegally impound the funds) is not the exhaustive list of many billions of dollars he’s impounding this year.

I'm still giddy about this review by Grace Tierney. I know the book could be a lot of different things and could have a different archive, yet Tierney picks up precisely on what moved me to bring each particular text into *Coalition Literature,* and finds ways to push the book even further.

Hey hey hey! Check out this smart, savvy, and positively glowing review of @franciscondine.bsky.social's brilliant COALITION LITERATURE (Stanford UP, 2025) by Grace Tierney up now at @asapjournal.bsky.social. It's front and center—you can't miss it! 🧡

It's mostly not about the technology, itself. They are angry about A.I. because they are anxious about how to be successful. No one in charge will tell them the new path to upward mobility. No seems to want to even figure one out. All anyone will talk to them about is A.I.

Okay, I am very moved by how this review just understands my book at a deep level, especially in terms of how the pieces fit together, the stakes of its arguments, and places I couldn’t quite go far enough (but that I hope are taken up by others), and why it mattered so much to me to write the book.

Grace Tierney looks at Francisco Roble’s book, *Coalition Literature: Aesthetics on the Move in Midcentury Multiethnic Writing,* and how it “offers a future for art that expresses and inspires effective protest, drawing on twentieth-century leftist power.” asapjournal.com/review/revie...

Dolly broke me in early to her raucous self deprecating sense of humor when we began steel magnolias rehearsals i asked her - how long does it take to do a hair do like yours? Dolly - no idea, i’m never there when they do it! i started taking Dolly-isms notes on the back of my script after that

RIP Dolly Parton ❤️ Here's a lovely Dolly story: We worked together on "Transamerica." She told me that the bible passage that used to puzzle her the most was, "the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men." She said, "How the heck do you sin against the Holy Ghost, and-

The Library is devastated to learn of the passing of Dolly Parton, a music legend and titan of children's literacy. Her Imagination Library program has earned multiple Library Literacy Awards and, in 2018, she visited us to donate its 100 millionth book to our collection and host a story time. 🦋❤️

9 to 5 is one of my queer roots, it was my entry into a feminist “America,” and it inaugurated a lifetime of loving the brilliant Dolly Parton and her music. This world, and especially this country, are much poorer places without her. May the hardest “Working Girl” in show business rest in peace.

I've heard that Dolly Parton had a rule that if she was in a room where anyone was crying, she would join them--just good manners. On this day of her passing, I'm assuming many of us will honor the great singer and human being by crying together.

Dolly Parton on funding education and childhood literacy programs: My daddy was the smartest man I have ever known, but I knew his inability to read probably kept him from seeing all of his dreams come true. Inspiring kids to love to read became my mission.
