If you live in one of these states, you are legally responsible to financially take care of your parents even if they kicked you out as a teenager for being queer, or abused you, or any other reason you went no contact with them. In these states, it is a *crime* to go totally no contact.

there is no such thing as "age verification." All "age verification" is actually "identity verification." You can coat it in glitter and "privacy-preserving" wrapping paper. But in the end, mandating age verification means mandating surveillance be built into software and hardware. Period.

I've had more than one employer get pissed at me for not doing things in the nitpicky specific way that they want, but without giving any training or documentation I could use. literally expecting me to read their minds and absorb the information into my own. Even with experience, it's fucked.

"Oops, we found out you're a normal person who shows up and works, and not a tryhard bootlicker who begs for more work, we're less than impressed. :("
