To me this seems like a truism that a lot of people choose to ignore because they want/must/think they have to take a short cut. But more and more people start to realize that science is hard, often messy and ... TAKES TIME. Gives me hope. The whole thread and blog post are 🎯

Yeah, citations, but also other generated content such as text, figures ... This isn't going away and the bans are just desperate attempts to contain useless "writing" that nobody will read anyway. Academic communication needs to change profoundly. Btw: Not new, it's just publish or perish on speed.
