Fun fact: Dolly Parton spent decades quietly funding band uniforms and instruments at Black high schools across the South - never once putting her name on it. No headlines, no fanfare — just help, given because it was needed. Wonderful Heart ♥️ RIP Dolly ❤️

The best measure of how America is doing isn’t the unemployment rate, or the stock market, or the rate of economic growth, or the inflation rate, or the average wage. It’s how well most Americans are living. And the reality is that most Americans are struggling.

Dozens of gas-burning power plants are being built across the country, solely to power data centers. These plants could emit as much planet-warming pollution as half of all passenger vehicles in the entire country in a single YEAR. We need a data center moratorium — now.

I hope seeing Kilmar Abrego Garcia alive will convince some of you to stop preemptively declaring people dead. I know it comes from a place of fear, but cynicism and pessimism can demobilize people and lead folks to give up before a fight is lost. Let's not seed that attitude.
