The supermajority of money AIPAC has is also sourced from donors who are near universally MAGA or MAGA aligned. So, it's 1) Republican donor money, 2) being spent primarily on Democratic primaries, and 3) that spending immediately stops in general elections when both candidates are AIPAC approved.

It’s crazy. Everytime anyone writes about or interviews El-Sayed they ask about Hasan Piker and no one ever bothers centrist Democrats about supporters who traffic in genocidal language every single day. It’s almost like, and surely can’t be, that there’s an effort to undermine leftist candidates.

“the jewish immigrant communists are trying to undermine america with race mixing!” became “the muslim immigrant socialists are trying to undermine america with transgenderism!” so gradually that its almost like its aways been the same bullshit

it just boggles my mind how some cis white men post exactly as if they did not have one single woman or person of color or trans person in their life to tell they they're not the hot shit they think they are (and especially not anyone who falls into more than one of those categories)

Will only become more and more true— one of the many reasons why I don't filter my perception of the Palestine question thru left vs liberal factionalism is because the actually pertinent divide is establishment vs anti establishment. But the establishment is facing immense pressure to concede here.

BTW just as an aside, what do people think the respondent trends will look like in, say, May 2027 when Kamala Harris is running a
presidential campaign that co-opts much of the CVH/Mamdani language on Palestine

#StupidSuez @diplomatofnigh... • 8d l've tried to convey this before, but public opinion and elite opinion are actually to some degree symbiotic to one another, for example Mamdani was elected (in part) because he was the most compatible person to the base's underlying sentiment and its trend, but his election also accelerated it.

The legitimization of certain terms, ideas, frameworks, etcetera by even more mainstream figures will only further cement them in the
consciousness of Democratic voters as "reasonable" "moderate" "centrist" etc.

NYT now displays "El-Sayed is likely to win" as opposed to lean for basically the rest of the night. Appears they think 96% of the vote is in, also. if that's true, Stevens needs... 80% of what remains lol. Good luck.

we need a real plan to stop racists. asking people to fix their hearts isn't going to work without pressure. one thing i'm a fan of is making the targets of bullies and bigots harder to mess with. don't let people just say shit about muslims or trans people or migrants. don't nod to avoid conflict

what a lot of people are calling electability is straight islamophobia. there is simply no way to stop where the united states is going with this level of islamophobia. it will get worse before it gets better at this rate. we're not able to agree that "camps for kids" is wrong.

I genuinely think there are people who would've said Haley Stevens would get like 80% there And that's really embarrassing for them, so I do have to mock it a bit. No more of that. Don't stereotype people as monoliths for political points against people you find annoying online!

Hmm, I wonder, did Abdul get a significant chunk of Black voters here! Obviously he just got those 16% white people that all turned out at 100% smh leftists

84% Black Benton Harbor was 56-37-7
