Every time someone says that people need "training in AI" I struggle to understand how you train someone to use the "ask me anything, at anytime, for any reason" machine, or why you would need to.
"I am not promoting the use of AI" says the AFT prez, even as this training shows thousands of teachers how to become daily AI users.

Another reminder that, amidst the myriad challenges facing academia, researchers also have to re-imagine the political economy of publishing. The biggest academic publishers (Wiley, Springer, Elsevier, etc) are also among the most restrictive and rapacious.

Writing is rewriting and more rewriting until you get it close to right. You can't skip steps with this shit.
The thing that's annoying me is that tiktok is filled with young writers who aren't that experienced if at all and that they're going to take this shit as gospel and will never learn that the not-sext parts of writing will make them a better writer.
For writing out structure I use notecards, personally, and shuffle the scenes around to see how each one blends into the next and sometimes that shows me where there's gaps in pacing and what not and gives me ideas for a scene.
Trying to read this thread but I already want to burn something down.
