The only way to square the mainstream media's decades of handwringing and complaining about how dysfunctional NYC is and this WSJ story about how business elites have historically "called the shots" on how NYC is run is to conclude that business dingbats ruined NYC and this is how you fix it.

I felt immense gratitude to the nurses administering the shots and the regular citizens organizing everything around us. Why was this memory holed!

Experts aren't always right. That's why I put my faith in morons who are never right
it’s pretty obvious that a lot of people remember that COVID lockdowns were unpleasant and from there just extrapolate that they were therefore bad policy
