But now, it’s clearly something about pandemics that just do things to collective memory. I don’t know whether this is unique to modernity but it‘s clear that humans react differently to this type of trauma.
The government shouldn’t follow developers in efforts to build in walkability; the effort must start with ensuring every resident has access within walking distance to public facilities like parks and libraries. This will be my next goal for the Near Eastside, further reducing reliance on vehicles.

There is no legitimate reason not to bring back intermissions. They increase revenue for exhibitors when people decide to stock back up on snacks. They let audiences enjoy the third act without being distracted by having to pee. I’m not entirely sure why they ever went away.
