Big, big news out of Nova Scotia re: the sharing of intimate images. One of the most important changes, IMHO, is that the onus will no longer on the victim to prove a deepfake was made without consent. Which makes sense! Who would make deepfake nudes of THEMSELVES?!

I get annoyed by the sheer scale of the mismatch. 2025 had the lowest number of homicides in Toronto in 40 years (during which our population increased by a third), and 2026 is on pace to be 20% lower than last year. Just an enormous unprecedented drop, and people are trying to drum up fear.

Brad Bradford says that 50% of roadway cannot be allocated to 1% of users. Good thing it isn't. Only about 1% of all of Toronto's road space is allocated to bike lanes. I showed my work, and used Danforth (the lanes he fought so hard to get added) as an example.
What I’m taking away from this is that the Bradford campaign will literally say it’s sunny if Chow says it’s raining.

Removing bike lanes in Toronto will disproportionately affect & endanger working class people & migrant workers. The same people complaining about cyclists expect their food delivery workers to ride in unsafe streets for poverty wages so they can get their Starbucks delivery on time.

Gas is $1.85 a litre at my local station and the majority opinion of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario is that we need more cars on the road. (Not even a joke, this was literally the government's argument on appeal. More cars = better.)
