You cannot technically explain yourself out of UX issues, please stop trying. So often I see users bring up UX issues, and programmers then tell them how much work it was to create their product. It doesn't matter how much work it was!! What matters is if your target audience uses it or not.

Recently I got invited to join the new Godot UX team. When I have time I will be helping testing editor PRs and make Godot more usable for everyone. What are some of the most annoying things about Godot UI/UX that you think need attention?

We made this free open source app to help people take their first steps with coding. It's used in schools and part of Godot docs' getting started series. After focusing on our curriculum, I'm back to improving it. Next version drops in January with clearer lessons where newcomers struggle most.

Some of y'all are gonna think I've gone completely nuts, but I'm gonna talk about rounded corners and why circles suck. Most devs take it for granted that rounded corners are circles. Spoiler: They don't have to be! There is a much more aesthetically pleasing and cheaper alternative. 🧵👇 #gamedev
