A $3 @mta.info subway fare and some good Q train timing can buy you one hell of a view of the July 4th fireworks and the Brooklyn Bridge light show! Huge shoutout to the train operator for slow rolling over the Manhattan Bridge and the conductor for announcing it.

BREAKING Voice of America staffers say in a new lawsuit that the Trump admin and Kari Lake have “censored news coming out of Iran,” including “stories about anti-government protests” and opposition to the regime. They’ve sued over a breach of the statutorily-protected editorial firewall.

Among other things, the President has launched an undeclared war on the Islamic
Republic of Iran, ostensibly with the goal of encouraging opponents of the Iranian regime to rise up in counterrevolution. The Administration—acting through Defendants Michael Rigas, Kari Lake, and other political appointees at Defendant United States Agency for Global Media (“USAGM”), the federal agency that oversees VOA—has censored the news coming out of Iran: interviews, video footage, and stories about anti-government protests within Iran have been suppressed. Reporting on certain elements in opposition to the Iranian regime have been banned from VOA’s Persian Service, rendering untrustworthy a once-respected source of independent news about Iran

Eight Oscar wins for Warner Bros. so far with several virtually guaranteed to come, continuing the best critical and financial year for a studio in decades. The only reason it's getting sold is the mountain of debt after 3 failed mergers, a problem it's solving with another debt-fueled merger.

A federal judge in DC rules that Kari Lake was not lawfully appointed and that actions she took as the claimed head of USAGM "shall have no force or effect," including last August's RIFs at the Voice of America.
