Writer, singer, survivor, knitter, partner/wife. Boston fan by birth and nurture. Cis, bi, she/her.

in my experience this is the most effective approach folks forget that writing, at its core, is a form of imaginative play, and we cannot teach creativity what we can do is build confidence, which allows writers to trust themselves more and take the creative risks that produce really good writing

I had Creative Director who said his approach was to look for something he thought was done really well, to point at it and say, "See that? Here's why THAT works. Go in THAT direction." Challenge in getting feedback is that it can cause us to focus so hard on what's wrong we stop seeing what's right

Greg’s been in the hospital since 5/5 and he ended up in the ICU for 7 days and they pretty much told me he’d die BUT HE DIDN’T and now he’s walking with his cane in the halls and charming all the staff and I cannot stop listening to this song.

When we start to make fun of people that do not identify as cis with proclamations of mental illness, I am always compelled to point out that most of them believe that there's a guy sitting on a cloud that has nothing better to do than worry about who you fuck and what meat you eat during the week.

The EDSBS Charity Bowl starts 4/20, ends 4/24. Last year I was convinced I wouldn’t be around too much longer, so I made a one-time donation. This year, back to a monthly donation because I have way too much to do to give up.

Hi all, its your friendly neighborhood retired therapist here to remind you that the horrors persist and so do we! Have you: -had a glass of water or something liquid that is not caffeinated recently? -used any calming or grounding techniques you like? -eaten a food? If not, do that now. 💜

So, here’s a happy thing: my guy was discharged from in-home physical therapy today. He walked around the block with his PT there (awesome person, I will miss her!) with minimal trouble. Also, flowers!

Blue flowers and white daffodils or jonquils in a front yard.
