UFO 50 has so many weird little secrets in it... it's been almost 2 years and we're still discovering more!
This concept was introduced to me as "run the dishwasher twice" and was an important part of my executive functioning recovery as well as my path to self-acceptance.
mucho texto i know but i wanted to write a lil thing about how u can treat yourself nice!!
"I thought our Give a Man a Fish Machine would lead to a glimmering new era of people learning how to fish but alas!"
OpenAI employee: "How did the obvious and inevitable result everyone predicted happen?!?!"
i think about how readings and inferring subtext have both become something sort of lost in favour of "pure headcanon/all interpretations are equal" vs "author declared this canon" and how this extreme binary is why the public has so quickly taken to blind trust in AI
which could mean anything
Welcome to Taskmaster!!! Would you like to play a game?
Like people have claimed that about fighting games for YEARS but anytime i watch a fg tournament lately the top 8 inevitably has 1 or 2 "19yo who just started playing last year" guys absolutely ripping dick off and its like No! The youth enjoy this old shit too on its own merits!!
I hate the idea that old games are impossible, that new players can't possibly learn to play a game that doesn't automate the entire process for them. There's so many examples of this being wrong, but for whatever reason tons of games are "too hard" even though VERY hard games are mega blockbusters.
"this piece of media has gross stuff in it" man damn that sucks, did you talk to your mom about how the parental controls aren't working
That first reply in. Just... holy fuck. "You expect every author to check every citation and make sure that every citation is accurate?" I mean... yes? If I can spend two months trawling old Usenet newsgroups for the origins of a product license, a researcher can do that at a bare minimum.
I'm sorry, what? In writing my first monograph, I spent six weeks trying to track down a citation in TWO languages I didn't know. And good thing too, because the citation was wrong. That's scholarship. That's research. You know, the thing we're trained to do?!?
this feels like the crux of things, and I don't see it highlighted enough: being creative is fun! i want a machine that does my laundry so i can focus more on making art, not the other way around!!
“I don't understand what it's supposed to do. Every time I see a video on Instagram that's like, 'Hollywood is cooked,' what follows is, like, the most stupid dog shit I've ever seen in my life…”
corollary to this, if somebody cares about what you’re doing in a weird and invasive way, that person is spiritually/emotionally/mentally a teenager
ok well this made something click in my head for some reason
Anime-only's being like: "Gabby having Edward's color scheme was a master-stroke" Arakawa:
