Anime Podcaster. WWW.ANIMEWORLDORDER.COM. I love anime, giant robots, strange Japanese video games, Sherlock Holmes, art and naughty stuff.

Texas isn't a red state. It's a state held hostage by gerrymandering and voter suppression. Hell, earlier this week they announced they're shutting down half the voting centers in Tarrant County (that's Fort Worth, 2.2 million people) and kicked everyone out of the hearing who wanted to comment.

This is a sentimental essay about politics, which I know isn't the fashion, and yet the editors at @newrepublic.com let me write something personal about the Lone Star State. Link in the replies.

Finished "Solo Camp for Two", a very sweet show, definitely not on most people's radar but I enjoyed it. Equal parts romance, slice of life and camping education.

High anxiety mode for me: When I'm approached or am approached by someone I know and like, but I'm not sure how to greet them. Do I know them well enough to hug them? Do I shake their hand? Is that too formal? Fist bump? Any physical interaction at all? Just a "hi" how are you doing?

Now that Masters of the Universe is on Prime Video, you can freeze frame on the “blink and you miss it” stuff the set designers put in. Yep, that’s Grendizer, Getter Robo G, Reideen since someone knew to shout out Shogun Heroes/Force Five stuff of that era as well. There is even a Kinnikuman/MUSCLE:

Still image from 2026’s Masters of the Universe. Adam in his pink shirt is perusing a local direct market nerd memorabilia shop in which there are vintage toys behind a glass case. Among the toys is a UFO Robo Grendizer which is partially obscuring a Getter Robo G alongside it.Still image from 2026’s Masters of the Universe. Another zoomed image of the toy case, in which Brave Reideen is prominently visible in the middle.Still image from 2026’s Masters of the Universe. An exotic falcon sits perched in the top of a common desk chair, with the bookshelf behind her set up to draw attention to detailed sketches of Castle Grayskull and a shelf of books whose most prominent title pertains to SWORDS. Nearly unnoticed atop a drawer cabinet is a lone greenish-blue tiny plastic mini figurine: unmistakably a Kinnikuman aka M.U.S.C.L.E. toy. This image was sent to Yudetamago on Twitter, who liked the post, which means they now have seen it and know it was done.

All three seasons of You're Under Arrest TV are leaving Hidive next month. Oh, you didn't even know those were even legally available in English for the past decade or so? That's because Sentai never bothered to re-release the show physically.

For Anime World Order Show # 255 – I Still Have Eleven Childhood Friends Left That Need to Be Killed, we are the No-Brand Heroes as I review the 1986 shojo manga Here Is Greenwood along with its 1991 OAV anime adaptation. But first, we complained about Sony a bunch www.awopodcast.com/2026/07/anim...

I've been going to Otakon and for a number of years in DC and even now there still isn't any go-to food place in the area. It feels like all of DC is entirely structured around either 80-year-old senators or people who are entertaining them.

Hitoshi Doi's site is great, it's a shame he's not updating the anime side any more it looks like. We should also acknowledge that he was the first person to use "fan service" in English in the way we use it today, in an event about Dirty Pair Flash of all things.

i love that hitoshi doi's website is still up to this very day and also has his complete baseball stat sheet, apparently he was pitching until he was 49 and that's kinda wild www.usagi.org/doi/

Had my first experience with a poor employee at CVS who had to unlock a case so I could buy a $10 stick of deodorant and had to walk me to the front of the store so I could buy said deodorant. What an unbelievable waste of time and energy.

I worked at Disney a while ago. Do you know why theme parks are so safe? Because OOSHA reps can walk the track on any ride at any time and any safety violation they see is a $10,000 fine. Each. Theme parks are not safe because the company cares. They're safe because it's cheaper to comply.

Turns out that food companies were only checking their food because the government told them to, which is exactly why we need government regulations.

You know, every time I do a history of hentai panel I'm struck by how much yuri there was in older hentai and how it's basically just gone now. There were entire series made back then that were 100% yuri and most hentai had some scenes of yuri, now it's extremely rare sadly.
