AIPAC is the biggest source of Republican money in Democratic elections, and now they are making clear they will spend even more to defeat Democrats in November. They advocate for policies the vast majority of Democrats viscerally disagree with. No Democrat should be taking money from AIPAC.
A lot of objections to El-Sayed seem to be people saying one of two things, either: “I’m afraid that a Muslim can’t win the general election,” or “I don’t want a Muslim to win the general election.” If it’s the first, you have 3 months to prove that fear wrong. If it’s the second, fix your heart.

CoreCivic will still manage the facility, which is expected to start receiving ICE detainees this fall.
ICE has now spent over $2.2 BILLION on purchasing 4 private prisons from CoreCivic, with the company banking half a billion dollars on the most recent sale. Of course, ICE will not actually operate these facilities; CoreCivic keeps the contracts to run these places for the foreseeable future.
I’m sure this will be a v popular take (lol) but the viciousness directed today at Stevens/supporters (see comments) show a mvmt that doesn’t appreciate what it takes to get out of authoritarianism. You don’t reverse backsliding w/o an awkward coalition. Stop shaming her supporters & try to win them
