It seems obvious to me that the "American" way to handle job loss from AI is to create an entrepreneurship/project grant fund with almost zero rejection. You submit an idea, you get funds to work on it for 2 years (60K a year), with a 1 year break between.

While waiting at Van Buren station this old train came by. Apparently Metra is celebrating electrification of the tracks and this is one of the original trains from 1926! For size: a cuurent car is the last - very similar in size. Unlike cars, I assume tracks and bridges constrains growth. #Chicago

I have been an economists for a very long time. I have always been a little surprised by how some people will talk about recession as a necessary reset or a “cleans.” There is this “let them eat cake” kind of mentality that emerges that somehow a recession is like a fast for a day and healthy.

Looking to speak with academics/experts specializing in video games studies specifically ideas around conquest, environmentalism, and land for a piece. Please repost this or give recs.
