"Claude broke out and hacked companies" No. The LLM had access to the net (by accident), was tasked with hacking into a supposedly fictitious company (thhat, as it turns out, exists), all without supervision. So nothing "broke out", Anthropic made a bunch of mistakes and had no oversight.
