Made a reply post earlier, replete with 5 images, each with full alt text descriptions. Hit reply, get the "uploading images" message, then get a blank page. The content wasn't saved (no drafts for replies), and not only did it kill my tab, my whole browser became unresponsive. So that's neat.

I spent the last few months talking to over 30 game developers about generative AI. It began as a sort of interview survey but became a pretty comprehensive collection of arguments against the technology altogether. www.gamesradar.com/games/why-so...

Why so many game developers don't want to use generative AI

With credits ranging from Dispatch and Marvel Rivals to Uncharted and Dragon Age, over 30 devs share their thoughts on gen AI

"Ben owns a farm. He employs 100 workers. His total payroll is $10 million/year. One day, he buys a mule, which provides the worker who uses it with a modest 10% productivity gain. Ben fires 99 of his workers and purchases 99 mules, expecting a 1,000% productivity gain..."

This video is rather depressing. With a legacy once built upon an incredible history of pioneering and pushing videogame artwork forwards, Epic have arrived at this frustrating and disappointingly myopic sloperation no one will be able to follow when token cost is increased to match compute costs.

this is a good example of how the explicit goal with AI is to relentlessly erase humanity "we decided to not have anyone care to do this step" and just like that, the sense of wonder looking at this piece of art is lost, along with the jobs artists would've had youtu.be/ZR2xbcf3Xyw?...

Like professors, I'm suggesting we should integrate our health disorders into our names when we introduce ourselves to new people. Hi! Nice to meet you. I'm Glynn, CPAP, ADHD, and I've got a Type 1 in Diabetes 🧐

Not only does it immediately kill my interest in something but. 30 million gallons of drinking water consumed. Art theft. Wage theft. Noise pollution. Skyrocketing prices. Lack of consent for images. Manipulative deep fakes. Even if it was ethical the lack of regulation at its birth has poisoned it.

People like Kane and many many others that do care about human art and the creative process have been a beacon of hope while trying to navigate making art in this current climate.

CBS MORNINGS ON YOUTUBE (JUNE 4, 2026)

Interviewer: I read that you do not want to embrace Al.

Kane: Absolutely not.

For me the whole point of doing what I'm doing-art is a way of processing life. I don't see the value in outsourcing any element of that.

When I'm looking at someone else's project, if I see an element of the environment [where] they use generative fill or whatever to change something about the scene, it just shuts off the part of my brain that wants to know more about that world. Because I would assume if they're willing to make an arbitrary choice there, they could make an arbitrary choice with literally anything.

Today Microsoft moved all its GitHub copilot subscribers to token-based billing. If you want to see what happens when people have to pay the actual costs of AI, the day is finally here. It's obvious that every customer sees the deep, meaningful value and isn't angry at all.

Just one prompt and I got 50% of my whole month credits using Claude Sonnet 4.6.

This is hilarious. For context I used the Copilot Orchestrator that has Condutor, Planning, Implementator and Code review agents. But with the new "usage based pricing", seems like this is not an ideal setup anymore?
Anyone has the same experience here? I am on Copilot Prot. This is so expensive.r/GithubCopilot • 6h ago

Love the new Copilot token system

Last month I used ~60% of my quota in an entire month.
This month I've already used 25% on day one.
What an amazing improvement.r/GithubCopilot • 14h ago

First day of the new pricing model, I tried one prompt to just refine one of my existing change proposal, basically a conductor with few sub agents to update the existing change spec, architecture, test plan, prototype, tech spec and implementation plan.
About 20-30 mins task, ends up burning 16% of my monthly credits in one shot.
Bye.

It's too expensive for me. In just one day, I used 4,000/20,000 credits, which means I would end up paying $600 a month.

Wes Streeting supports the Cass Report and Palantir's UK govt contracts. Either he lacks the critical thinking skills to evaluate the evidence/arguments against them, or he ignores these things for ideological or other reasons. Either one makes him unfit to be PM in my view. (Not going to debate it)
