The investigations/charges only go up to 2018 but make no mistake: everything - absolutely everything - that City have done in the years since was built on the foundations of these breaches as well. And everything they continue to do in the coming years. There is no separating these things.

I read a lot of people feeling sorry for MLS and Gyokeres (which is mad, because there are clear effort issues there), but it’s Zubimendi & Merino I feel sorry for. Why is Bruno automatically in for MLS? And why isn’t Merino a forward option in these away games when he’s been so effective?
That was atrocious. Been a while. But we’re still +2 on same fixtures last season.

Went to watch Swindon v Colchester with my boy today. Sat 2 rows from Steve Perryman. We spent the half-time seeing who could shout ‘Arsenal are champions’ loudest in his direction. Childish I know, but I enjoyed it.

Martinelli: I think he’d been sussed by PL defences & a change was right for all. In June/July. But I don’t see the logic in selling him now without a replacement. Which also suggests to me that we were confident in another signing happening. Anyway, it is what it is, but it’s a risky strategy.
