The last thing Canada needs is a greater normalization of the US dominating and imposing its will on less powerful countries in the Western Hemisphere. Seeing the US media completely indifferent to the humanitarian catastrophe their government caused just 200 km away does not give me hope!
It's not always about the US - in this case he was melting down over the Canadian federal government not allowing the expansion of a regional airport close to Toronto's downtown. Which makes it even more pathetic.

You give up your dignity for nothing. c) I have pride and don't want to live as a vassal state.

I think we're experiencing the first too online politicians with power that aren't right wing. Their advisors would be wise to remind them online isn't real life and most of their constituents don't know who these people are, and if they do, they definitely don't want them praised.
