I work in Town Planning, I like to run, photography, long walks, most sport but Coventry City FC and F1 in particular, tech, politics etc. Love my Ellie, Alex and Clem Fandango.

Trump: "Zelensky could have settled this war many, many times, but he chooses not to." Sick liar! This rant is full-on Russian propaganda straight from the mouth of the US president. There is no deal on the table that Ukraine could have accepted.

I talk a lot about major transport investment, but one of the biggest bangs for the buck policy-wise would be a full pavement parking ban and more rigid enforcement of traffic rules. Enforcement is so lax that this stuff is just completely normalised now, and it's unacceptable.

This a million times. People of colour being dragged on to debate maniacs about imaginary labels & race science is an abomination. proper ‘how German are you’ Nazi shit Note that people like me with white migrant parentage never asked to defend our identity Englishness. Is. A. Made. Up. Thing

Dear tv and radio producers. Thankyou for the invitation. But, no, I do not want to appear on your show to defend the idea that I am English, after 50 years of living and working here, because the increasingly feral right want to turn this into a "debate" and you cannot see how you're being played

Kemi Badenoch wants to exempt the family home from inheritance tax. But that creates a perverse incentive for elderly people to *upsize* to save IHT. That could double the cost of the policy, and push £100bn+ from savings into housing. A 🧵 on bad tax cuts.

Sagal Abdi-Wali came to the UK aged 7 having fled the war in Somalia with her family. She has thrived. Leader of Camden council and now the MP for Holborn and St Pancras. A narrative that runs counter to all we are told about refugees. Congratulations www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Victory by Sagal Abdi-Wali in north London seat will be a relief for Andy Burnham in high-stakes battle for the left of British politics

Firing squad execution to be livestreamed, Pentagon says. Lost for words at the insanity in Trumpistan, a truly sick dictatorship. Like medieval times, executions offered as a public spectacle in a country that claims to be Christian. What next?

Fort Hood attacker's execution by firing squad will be livestreamed, Pentagon says

Pete Hegseth says the execution will be public, but a legal expert says the "unprecedented" decision is on "uncertain legal terrain".

Trump: "Today is Vladimir Putin's birthday. I'm sure you're going to celebrate it. Are you going to celebrate his birthday? I have a call set up." What the hell is wrong with you?! Celebrate? You sure? The birthday of a butcher responsible for murdering 25 people in Ukraine today?

A very happy 50th birthday to our patron Tim Minchin. Thank you for the music, the laughter, and these really lovely words on living, happiness, and finding meaning in the here and now. Happy Birthday, Tim!

“The only sensible solution at this point is a moratorium on datacentres until very basic questions about how many we need, what for, where, and how pollution will be avoided are answered satisfactorily by the government” - @olliehayes.bsky.social 👏

Drax datacentre could create nearly twice the yearly emissions of all Gatwick flights

Exclusive: Campaign group’s analysis of North Yorkshire plans finds datacentre would have to burn 4.9m tonnes of wood a year
