Cc @olivia.science "Teaching children about smoking cigarettes is a 'moral imperative,' said Jan Janson, the Protect Children Union president. "And without outside funding, it was a choice between taking big tobacco's money or doing nothing." I renew my call for @rweingarten.bsky.social to resign.

“Teaching educators about AI is a ‘moral imperative’, said Randi Weingarten, the AFT president.” “And without outside funding, it was a choice between taking big tech’s money or doing nothing, she said.”

Hard to miss what I've never used. And this dude is, as usual, conflating the things Machine Learning can do (and better than people) with GenAI, which pretends to do what machines can't, i.e. think, and reason.

All the people who are anti-Al or want to
slow Al progress, I have one question:
If Al disappeared tomorrow, could you
still get through an entire workday

We survived GenCon Writers Symposium 2026, y’all (and that’s saying something considering the occasional tornado). I was so busy running around I barely got to enjoy it. Luckily, my interns and friends made sure to slow me down to experience what we were curating.

Friends, I've been in this business quite a while, and been on panels at many conventions. But I've never had a literal tornado warning in the middle of a panel cause a group from another panel--about writing sex--to have to shelter in our room. And OUR panel topic, you ask? Improvisation. :D

What a truly, truly wonderful presentation on creativity and riding the wave from Sesame Street and Avenue Q's Jennifer Barnhart at Gen Con 2026! So glad to be able to reconnect with such an inspiring and amazing performer.

What an awesome time with my Gamemastering for Writers, Writing for Gamemasters workshop, working with a really great group of thoughtful people! Next up: my D&D with Writers event tonight at 7 p.m. Please join us if you can! :D
