Organic snack foods are always named things like HARMLESS GODDESS'S LEAVE-NO-TRACE EARTH LOVIN' HAPPY THOUGHTS and it's like ma'am, these are Cheetos.

Unauthorized drone flights are interfering with firefighting water drops in Spokane. If you’re anywhere near a fire zone, don’t be that fucking asshole. You’re endangering people.
My Gen Con schedule today: 1 pm Signing in the Exhibit Hall 3 pm Media Tie-In Work 4 pm History as Worldbuilding
The conservative solution for the “male loneliness epidemic” and decentering men is to just remove women from public spaces.
Failing that professional author/present parent balance once again.
Gen Con Writers' Symposium attendees--and to be clear, this is a LOT for Thursday. It's good to see! After a great panel on character voice with @katherinewashere.bsky.social, @erinmevans.bsky.social, and @ginikoch.bsky.social, I'm done for a bit...but meet and greet tonight and much more tomorrow!
Bronze Age "Collapse" Menopause 🤝 Third Intermediate Period
Sometimes I think of how much genius, talent, & possibility we've been robbed of in this world bc wealthy white men refuse to not be absolute ghouls to everyone. The women who lost opportunities bc they wouldn't trade their bodies for them. The of color & queer folks stifled just because. It sucks.
Lena Headey looks back: ‘I told Harvey Weinstein where to go. A decade of possibilities disappeared’
When we can get rid of now-useless and burdensome laws, it means that public health is working.
this is how dumb you sound, democrats, when you accept the absurd premise that this is an issue that you need to campaign on
Trump: "We had transgender for everybody. Men in women's sports came ravaging through our cities."
Now live!
In ~5m, come watch Ep. 17 of Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage (ep. 73 overall) for Community D&D with the ShadowCrew on @gregoryawilson.com's twitch.tv/arvaneleron! With @ohmygodatruck.bsky.social @drewthedamager.bsky.social @t1ltedgaming.bsky.social @happyalbinauric.bsky.social and me as DM!
The Odyssey is a nice example of the problem with every effort to "understand" Trumpers. There's nothing to "understand" here: this man has no idea what happens in Homer's epic, he's an arrogant dimwit with a made-up version in his head that he uses as an excuse to be weird and racist. That's it.
Matt Walsh complains that Nolan brought his obsession with nonlinear story telling to the Odyssey, undercutting the original's narrative. The defenders of western civilisation, folks.
A few years ago, we made 2 #dnd titles that became our first gold- and silver-selling titles on @drivethrurpg.com. Individually, they provided a new system for creature companions and a way to play as them. "Play with a little guy or AS a little guy" 1/3

Seattle, the World Cup brought possibility. Let’s build on it
"Perimenopause refers to the journey that a woman undertakes to lift the monthly moon curse from her secret cave of delights and suffering. This curse was originally inflicted on women by an angry god as punishment for eating apples or being witches or some other bullshit excuse."

My favorite way to put this, as someone who studied Classical History in actual college (not just on Twitter): If you told an ancient Roman or Athenian that his culture had "more in common" with a German or Briton than with an Egyptian or Ethiopian, he'd punch you in the throat.
Furious that Chris Nolan would disregard historical accuracy in adapting The Odyssey by making a "movie" with "cameras" instead of memorizing the entire story and then going on a nationwide tour to sing it to us while tripping on ergotized barley
One of the books where I'm very confident in saying if, like me, you grew up reading 90s and 00s epic fantasies you'll absolutely love this. Should be absolutely huge, and very unlikely to disappoint millennial fantasy nerds.
Or catch up on my newer, non-tie-in work, the Books of the Usurper, which has trickier mysteries, as much magical nerdery, and several very charismatic villains. Starts with EMPIRE OF EXILES. tinyurl.com/2xajw882
This is what they call an "insta-buy" in the biz. Evans has a new book? No brainer. But Fari returns? Let's go. And download the entire Brimstone Angels saga to read about her rise. And then petition WotC to get them back into print. I'm sure they're tired of me askin' lmao.
I cannot tell you how much fun I had writing this book. (Literally, in this moment because I gotta get Ned to camp, BUT LATER I will try). www.polygon.com/dungeons-dra...
I love this book! I picked it up with no prior knowledge a few years ago and had a blast.

They should do the TTRPG books like this too. Books of foes built around in-character rumor-mongering and conspiracy theories by the setting's cattiest drama queens, punctuated by stat blocks and other game info.
The previous book in this series, Worlds & Realms by Adam Lee, is structured like a travelogue narrated by Mordenkainen, a tour of the many D&D settings. Ten Speed wanted this to be another character-narrated book. But what’s the model for a survey of (terrible) people? A rambling gossip sesh.
One of my top favorite books of the last ten years.

This book is: 😈 a Brimstone Angels sequel 💘 A love letter to my new favorite D&D troublemaker 🎨 Chock full of gorgeous art of the most iconic D&D villains. 🤔 An answer to the question: what is the structure of a book about people? (1/n)

We are nearly through week 2 of the camp insanity days, and I feel like I'm going to drop. I just have to make it to the weekend. And then it will still be summer and my children will still be learning to be bored, but I will not have to drive as many places or negotiate as much house stuff.
