El-Sayed will greatly underperform Dems nationwide and will likely lose his very winnable race. Every other statewide D in MI will do better. All of them. No one's brain will be broken by an obviously weak candidate threatening to be the only Senate seat that flips D to R.

What would have happened? Democrats would have lost by even more than they did. California voters passed a gay marriage ban in 2008. It would have been far worse in 2004.

Here’s a really tense ICE situation in front of my home. One car looped a block 25 times until two reinforcement cars showed up and led me home. Was pretty scary because I was solo - BUT I knew I had backup from thousands of courageous neighbors and observers. Strength in numbers.
