Chicago teen shares his experience in ICE detention centers: I am 18 years old and I just graduated from high school in Chicago. I was in ICE detention for 2 months and 10 days. They kept me in solitary for 2 days for no reason, alone in a room with just a toilet. They never let us go outside.

I don’t know how to make cis people wake up and comprehend the horrifying assault on trans folks’ civil rights. But again, this is a clear cut case of “if you let the fascists come for one group, they will come for you, too.”

And the media went with it. The press mainly acted as if a deeply-funded highly-coordinated attack on trans athletes was organic & not astroturfed. This despite Focus on the Family & Family Research Council running campaigns in 27 states with hundreds of millions of $$: familypolicyalliance.com

Anyway, a bunch of otherwise liberal idiots fell for the bad-faith attacks on trans athletes. It’s safe to assume that all the “girl dads” and soccer moms who got sucked into these campaigns let their fear & bigotry blind them to the fact the far-right is not on the side of their child athletes.

The Heritage Foundation’s report goes on to misrepresent feminist scholarship & discuss menstruation & fertility to a nauseatingly creepy degree. TLDR: “sports are bad for women who we view as breeding animals!”
