Disinformation alert: While "mail-in ballots" are prohibited this fall, voting by "Special Ballot" is allowed. The OC states that the process "does not prevent advance voting... or voting by a Special Ballot..." "Special Ballot" is simply another term for voting by mail.

Jared, have you seen this?

It’s been 6 years, 2 Premiers & 5 Ministers of Mental Health & Addictions (3 full, 2 assoc.) since UCP first promised to build these communities across Alberta And now, with millions of Albertans’ tax $ spent, several are caught in a web of missed payments & alleged crooked contracts. 1/2 #abpoli

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said construction on 3 recovery centres on Indigenous land will soon finish on budget, subcontractors facing stacks of unpaid invoices doubt it. Plus: One Indig group fired its contractor www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/artic... w @tomcardoso.bsky.social

So well written. No members of our household are on AISH/ADAP. But when Smith's UCPers announced the RICHEST prov in Canada was going to cut those with the least, $200 when the feds increased their cheque by $200 - that was a kick in the pants. This prov gov is cruel to humans - & generous to corps.

"I have cerebral palsy. I am not on AISH. I am not on ADAP. But I have sat across kitchen tables from people who are, watched what this summer has done to their faces, and I have never in all my years writing this column felt as let down by this province as I do right now." #Alberta #abpoli

As anyone who knows about ordinary home building & bylaws knows : legislators have elaborate literally “totalitarian” dictatorial power over home building for ordinary citizens. So there’s zero reason that ordinary citizens can’t righteously demand that billionaire data centers have equivalent laws.
