What are the strategic trade-offs of nuclear hedging? @ebrewer.bsky.social examines Iran’s nuclear program from 2023–25 and argues that instead of providing a net advantage, Iran’s threshold status became a critical vulnerability that invited conventional attacks and degraded its security.
Skipping by the billions seemingly promised to Iran and the pinky-swear nature of the rest of it, this is how the core elements of the nuclear program stack up with what the JCPOA got us. Nuclear program the only arguable justification for all of this destruction, and... just yikes

It's normal to have power cuts every other hour in summer. In winter, electricity is shut off for 8hours at a time. When people began installing solar panels, the gov changed its policy so that those who generated their own electricity were penalized. High electricity prices are a separate issue.
