Now with 25% more badgering! Snark, silliness, absurdity. (He/Him/His/'That Idiot'). BLM, Abolish ICE. If you do not accept trans people, move along—do not sully my profile. No Crypto/DMs/Porn. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

noted this in morning piece. like any winning candidate in a rough primary, AES needs to coalesce Ds behind him. Involves outreach, etc. But one of the best ways to consolidate Democrats is to land punches against Republicans. Not just going on the attack but showing that your punches are landing.

El-Sayed: "If all Mike Rogers got is that 'his name is Abdul, and my name is Mike,' you're gonna be surprised how many people are like, 'Yeah, but that's the Abdul who wants to bring down the price of my groceries and make sure I got healthcare. So yeah, I like Abdul over your Mike from Florida.'"

as noted yesterday, Trump has now come around to treating an Iranian toll system covering the Strait of Hormuz as a given. Hard to overstate the level of strategic failure. US started the war purely as a war of choice and ends up dramatically empowering Iran and given the Iranian govt big wins.

Reuters: Iran wants fees of 5%-7% of the price of cargo from ships using the strait; Oman wants 3%. "Making fees voluntary, at least nominally, could be a way out of the impasse, although an implied threat of Iranian attacks could mean shippers would be unlikely to risk transit without paying."

My husband has diabetes and it is a daily struggle even with tech that works and access to insulin. I imagine ICE detention + diabetes = a death sentence. How many have already died due to “medical reasons” and gone under the radar?

Whitehouse on Blanche and Ghislaine Maxwell: "It was to get exculpatory information about Donald Trump and then reward her ... How often does a prisoner allegedly facing threats or danger get moved to a less secure facility? Think about it. It doesn't pass the test of common sense."

Whitehouse: "Today, I think is a sad and embarrassing day for this committee. As it looks like on a party-line vote, we are going to advance out of this committee probably the most discreditable person ever to seek the office of attorney general of the United States..."

This means waiting days for a technician while crops sit in the field and thousands of dollars are lost. Farmers position: “If I paid $500,000 for this tractor, I should be able to repair it.” Josh Turek agrees. His Right to Repair proposal would require manufacturers to provide… 3/4

Many new tractors and combines are essentially giant computers. Manufacturers use software locks that prevent farmers or independent mechanics from making certain repairs.

Farmers argue: I paid $500k for this tractor. I should be able to repair it.

Manufacturers argue: the software is our intellectual property, and restricting access protects safety, emissions compliance, and cybersecurity.

The Reformers

BREAKING: Sen. Dick Durbin accuses Todd Blanche of lying under oath. He says Blanche told him in his office — with witnesses — that the slush fund was a mistake. In his confirmation hearing, Blanche denied that remark.

That's bothersome. Democrats should support whomever the voters choose as their nominee in the primaries and stick together. We shouldn't be fighting our own. We're going up against fucking nazis. And we should respect the voters' choice in the primary.

I'm not going to repost the video of Ohio rep. Max Miller explaining how he's not an abuser by using an example of how victims placate their abusers to stay safe, but rest assured I think he's a fucking piece of shit abuser who should probably be in jail and not in the House of Representatives

James Talarico on Texas officially banning THC: “Texans aren’t going to stop smoking weed and eating edibles because politicians in Austin say so. We are now telling full-grown adults how to live their lives. This is the nanny state at its worst; this is big government at its worst."
