I want to support the new generation of players as much as anyone, but it’s frustrating seeing many of them team up with known problematic players. Especially after the Jackpot situation, these players just learned how to hide their behavior in their discord groupchat of being normal human beings

I dont understand the disappointment with no new weapon kits. everyone knows we are 100% getting them eventually right.... if I were to guess when I'd say they'll come out alongside Raiders

So I've been thinking a lot, and I wanted to make a public apology for the way I acted with regard to Splat Safety over the course of the last couple of years, but particularly back in August. I still have some legitimate issues with the way they handled the situation, but in raising them, (1/4)

Can I just say that continuing to nitpick and criticize someone who just had to deal with thousands of dollars in loss and 2 years of defamation and harassment who turned out to be a victim of exactly what they were accused of is vile at best. May well adjusted people stay away from you.

Worth noting that if the apology for the gem situation involves trading which person is “the bad one,” it’s not really growth. It’s saying “I’m sorry I picked the wrong team”

There is so so SO much I want to say, have wanted to say, and will want to say concerning this situation. It goes against every fiber of my being to hold my tongue further, but it is not my battleground. One thing I will say: with the information we currently have, I stand by Gem and his innocence.

I still hope the community as a whole stops the whole "bandwagon lets jump 'em" mentality. It never leads to anything good. Think before you act.

A final note, as someone who is close to survivors of abuse the case always read wrong to me Someone who is so hurt and cornered does not weaponize a community against someone-or turn themselves into a beacon of trust to try and tear it down. Speaking too much when the other can’t is a sign of guilt

My time on websites and personal experiences are enough to know that dogpiling and harassment are things that really spiral out of control, so I’ve always tried to stay neutral on this publicly.

LRT the amount of vitriol from even the SSC video + knowing some of the court case details (it’s public info) was incredible when it was very obvious what sux was saying was not adding up. It must’ve been torture to hold out for so long

I initiated the fire So i will burn with the consequences of doing so. I owe Gem the biggest apology out of everybody I believe, but that isn't going to fix the damage brought about this situation. I am sorry for all I have caused at the beginning of this situation, I was wrong

Let this be a lesson to younger Splatoon players to please learn how to read between the lines. You do not need to form and vocalize your opinion on something the moment you find out about it. Especially if you don’t have all the context.

I’ve been very reluctant to speak on any of this in the past, but none of the dots were ever really aligning for me in the story. Too many inconsistencies and holes in the narrative. But there was never room for doubt without getting publicly dogpiled. Please give this a read.
