I also experience this, after 16 years of teaching! Something that helps me is Federer’s statistic — something like he won 80% of his matches but only 51% of his points. You don’t have to be perfect every day, you’re playing a long game and it’s the cumulative effect that matters.
And it takes an hour to recover afterwards.

The feelings are similar to how I would feel before track races. Nervousness + knowing it's going to be work+ really concerned with doing well. Similar feelings? How do you deal with it?

I can't even use google scholar from my university or starlink because they send too much traffic.

Every time I teach Media Literacy, I ask students what they think are the top 3-5 news stories since 2000. I usually have the top 10 but this year it is only 9 because of so little consensus. And yes, for 9, they wrote "prez elections," not any in particular, so I wasn't forcing it to be a catchall.
