This may be true of others but I actually got express permission from the trans community to keep NYT games and recipes. I also have a news subscription, which is arguably worse, so I had to specifically send in a written request. Took 30 days but I got approved.

It really is just jokes to guys like this isn't it. Rights & humanity of minorities is just a fun hypothetical to occasionally entertain, but ultimately doesn't matter to these guys as peoples' rights & humanity I guess cannot possibly compare to the value of *checks notes* a fucking nyt puzzle game

it's not just that means testing unfairly gatekeeps care from people on the edges of the economic goldilocks zone. the logic ripples out through culture and influences how we talk about poverty, race, and disability. we do not talk about helping people without first talking about who not to help.

the only people who could ever earnestly support means testing are people who've never had to be means tested before. it is a humiliating, dehumanizing bureaucratic hostage negotiation with a system whose primary purpose is to *not* provide financial support as often as humanly possible

The Seattle City Council just voted 6-3 to approve Joy Hollingsworth's amendment to delay universal school lunches for kids, replacing them with vouchers for qualifying low-income parents to buy groceries over school breaks and weekends. Eddie Lin, Alexis Mercedes Rinck, and Rob Saka voted no.

It's not surprising that Kaltiala is an abusive monster. It's the same reason clinicians that support restrictions like her have a trail of allegations of abuse following them. They support restrictions and gatekeeping because it gives them power over their patients. And with that power comes abuse.

It's not "too woke" to say that straight men who rape women should be reviled for being rapists, not tarred as secretly queer. To imply they're gay, or that they wear dresses, to distance them from manhood, is to insist that their violence is "deviant" rather than utterly banal and normative.

considering how the terf/GC movement is bankrolled by the heritage foundation and how many terfs are anti-abortion, white nationalist, or have other fascist ties, i think a large amount of them are fine with this actually. or at least consider it an acceptable sacrifice to own the transes.

I got to know Senator Lindsey Graham traveling with him abroad in Afghanistan and Ukraine. We had just met to renew the fight for our Big Tech bill. Even though we disagreed on much, he was always willing to negotiate, with humor and wit. My heart goes out to his loved ones.

I think people who engage in the kind of scientific fraud to which the quoted poster is responding should be considered accessories to, accomplices in, or outright perpetrators of mass rape.
