the obsession with trans women in sports is, apart from the abject bigotry, a symptom of how we take amateur sports participation way too seriously in this country.

This is so true, especially in red states. Lockdown started the end of March 2020 and I remember that by the beginning of June everyone was just acting like it was over. Done with masks, done with distancing, done with businesses trying to limit crowds.

Hard to imagine bigger loser shit than relitigating the “lockdowns” when there were no real lockdowns you just weren’t allowed to eat inside the burger king for a few weeks.

Things I and friends have done to calm an angry abusive man from further escalating and killing us or our children: -Smiled -Kept normal schedules in order not to trigger a fight -Appeased with kind acts (cooking, cleaning, favors) -Forced friendly tones and words
