C.L. Methvin. Author of EUSECT and Biting Silence. Queer 🔪 English M.A. 📚 Author ✏️ Editor Hy•pe•taph 🐺

Overwhelmed with the desire to write...but not to 𝘵𝘺𝘱𝘦. As such, I tried my computer's dictation function. It leaves some elements to be desired, but it let me get a few hundred words to page during an otherwise dry spell of writing. Not bad. Might employ that more frequently.

I WROTE A NOVELLA AND IT'S GETTING PUBLISHED. Quiet Hours is queer housing horror. Have you ever had a bad roommate? If so, you know how bad it can get. This is a novella that (I hope) we need and deserve: we're all trying to defend each other from the enemy, but sometimes the enemy is in the house

The finalfinalfinalforreal.doc title is @esther-alter.bsky.social's QUIET HOURS, a truly disturbing and keenly rendered literary queer housing horror. Esther's book will be added to this novella series as our first STRETCH GOAL, so please help us fund!

I read through this book and enjoyed it! There's even a cute cat who totally has no flaws and is very sweet. The author was also kind enough to include specific warnings early on so that you can read it when you're mentally prepared. Really liked the causal queerness present throughout as well.

HAPPY #PRIDE! If you want to read about #queer people who suck and are horrible, check out my novella Biting Silence :) Sexy, bloody, depressing, hallucinatory, and more, all wrapped up in a neat little party 🎉 www.amazon.com/Biting-Silen...

Pile of books—Biting Silence, by C.L. Methvin—atop a black cloth with teeth strewn about from a jar, with a brown fur pelt as the backdrop for one book upright.

Legitimately I think it's important to have trans/gay reps who are complex, messy, sometimes aweful people, just the same as anyone else Because they're human just like anyone else We got plenty of bojacks and walter whites. We can have some Jaxes.

The cutting of the Gordian knot here is everyone needs to get way more comfortable going “that’s stupid” & not arguing/getting mad when they see a media illiterate Take. Then we can enjoy art for grown ups AND the delightfully preposterous nonsense the world’s dipshits have to say about it online.

People ARE stupid but you should do subtext anyway. You can spell it out as blatantly as possible and people will still willfully misinterpret it. I don't want all art to become shows for preschoolers, personally
