I need people to understand that for the last half decade that there’s been an ecosystem of trans folks in sports media who have worked unpaid to serve as experts for context, sources and educators on what it’s like for trans athletes, in hopes of potential bylines and contacts. That’s dried up.

Been watching through Thunderbolt Fantasy again, and fuck is it such a funny, compelling show. It makes me wish we got more Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance; puppet shows are so much fun.

I've seen two episodes of #Furious so far (am watching with the dogs), and I may love this show. It has some very fun cinematography, builds compelling moments, and knows how to paint in conceptual layers so something like a teen girl getting a haircut land with the weight of a haymaker

when i can't get out of bed i think back to the rooms i'd gotten to be in, working with some of the smartest, kindest people i'd ever met. beautiful souls the lot of 'em.

I keep thinking about the discourse from the other day suggesting writers are gatekeeping writing information for ourselves and I just think back to 2019 when every writer was out there giving away writing advice until one by one each stopped because social media blows and we can't have nice things.

kept starting, deleting, and starting anew some kind of post that can thread my existential exhaustion, overwhelming despair, feeling that my life is worth nothing, and all without making anyone feel bad (which is one of the few things keeping me around)
