Glad to see people getting riled up about the closure of America's oldest natural science museum. Call me cynical, but I really think the timing of Drexel's announcement — less than 30 days — was intentionally chosen to give people as little time as possible to react and organize.

The “rugged individualism” of American mythology is an egotistical and toxic belief that encourages people to forego community in favor of individual accolades and personalprofits.

That's the cloth areas finished on the other three #BLKOUT Manticore Borz Insertion Team models. Dark Grey → Luftwaffe Uniform → Ivory → Gryph-Charger Grey contrast paint. I also started the mid-tone grey on their gear and weapons with Vallejo Model Color German Grey.

Trying to combat this "you solved the problem, move onto something new" mentality of mine by batch painting the rest of my #BLKOUT Manticore Borz Insertion Team models. Tonight was JUST the mid-tone grey on their uniforms and cloth areas with Vallejo Model Color Dark Grey.

The water in the little fishtank by my desk has been crystal clear for the past two days. It's too early to determine if this is the result of the live plants helping to control the algae, but I'm hoping that's the case.

It's been about two weeks since I put live plants into our little fish tank in an attempt to control the algae. I've also put two carbon cartridges into the filter, instead of one carbon and one algae control cartridge. This is the cleanest I've seen the tank since stocking it. 😲

There are endless studies showing this and also the financial and societal benefits of universal basic income and or housing-first policies but the U.S. never goes for any of it because it would require allowing the poor to receive benefits that the rich consider “undeserved”

Okay. After some Mr. Weathering Multi-Black on the weapon, Vallejo weathering pigments on the base (with airbrush thinner to hold them in place), a few grass tufts — strategically placed to hide gaps by the foot — and more red highlights, this #BLKOUT miniature is 100% finished.
