Happy news today to have my story "Hell Is Empty" accepted by the brilliant Supernatural Tales. Gone back to writing short fiction this year, and that's the first one to move so far.

Screenings of the People's Emergency Briefing in Ireland, Germany, France and Belgium as well as further afield. Governments aren't being transparent with the public about the severe threats to society posed by climate & nature breakdown. Until that changes, civil society is stepping up. #PEBuk
Sorry to hear about Jeff Bezos's rocket exploding prematurely. A good technique to prevent that from happening is to try thinking about something you find totally unarousing or even repulsive, like giving workers a living wage or paying a fair share of taxes.
People here are exhausted. Every time we want to swim in the sea, we need to check an app to make sure Southern Water hasn’t pumped sewage into the sea. Now we’re in a heatwave, South East Water has turned off the taps. We have no choice about who we pay for this service. We feel powerless.
Let's reach 200k! It's decision time for NatureScot as their board is soon to decide on whether to grant a licence for the 2026 Guga hunt. Sign the petition: protectthewild.org.uk/gannet-petit...

😀 Hey viewers. We think that you may be so profoundly stupid that you believe that we have reincarnated dead people for this episode of Question Time.
The clarification at 0:45 is fantastic
'Our Land features some of the most beautiful English vistas imaginable. Enjoy them on screen if you can, because you’re unlikely to visit them in person any time soon: vast swaths of the English countryside are fenced off by their owners, whereas in Scotland, freedom to roam is a public right.'
Our Land — a stunning documentary about the ever more inaccessible English countryside
The film, featuring Right to Roam activists and landowners alike, is a study of capital, class and exclusion

Walk, coffee, dolphins. Good start to the day. Then one of us ate a dirty old crab leg off the pier and it wasn’t me. #sunderland #dolphins

New: A comedian set up a fake ICE tip line as a joke. Then 100 calls flooded in: neighbors ratting on neighbors, a teacher reporting a kindergartener. Fans say the viral TikToks revealed deportation's "banality of evil." Conservatives say he should be in prison wapo.st/4kM4qbF
Even the Countryside Alliance must be getting tired of this nonsense. The hunt has little to do with the 'rural way of life'. The vast majority of rural people object to it. There is no culture war. If the hunt hadn't spent two decades flouting existing laws trail hunting wouldn't be in focus now.
Buying into Prince Andrew now being 'Andrew Mountbatten Windsor' is political and palace sleight of hand, and plays into the suggestion he isn't exactly what he is. The son of a prince, the brother of a prince, the uncle of a prince, the father of princesses. He's not the glitch. He's the product.

Police search two homes connected to Peter Mandelson over Epstein scandal
Just read Matthew Parris' obsequious hagiography of child-rapist-bootlicker Mandelson claiming the future will judge us badly for removing Petey from the Lords because he's tewwibly clever. Matthew, the present, along with me, is judging you badly for this, right now. Very very badly. Vile.
Labour owes debt to giant of politics in modern era
Mandelson has been on the right side of every important argument in the politics of the left since the 1990s

Imagine Mandelson is under a lot of stress right now so just as well his husband is a trained osteopath.
Let this be a lesson for all of us. *gestures vaguely at everything, everywhere*
