This point needs to be made over and again: The main purpose of wealth taxes should not be to raise revenue. That's a small and secondary benefit. The main purpose should be to *reduce the fortunes of the ultrarich*. Why? Because those fortunes present a massive threat to democracy and public life.
A national postal service is "a logistics and communications network that reaches nearly every household in the country." That network carries the burden of legal notices, federal communications (e.g. tax information, Social Security checks), and deliveries by every company that isn't the 'Zon.

Indoor play areas that have to be driven to, soft play, trampoline parks, expensive 'experiences' that have to be booked & organised, & attended by adults for the duration. When all kids actually need is green space and a safe way to get to it.
Excited for year two! The Mamdani administration should study expanding the Congestion Relief Zone to bring these benefits to more areas of our city.
Cities well designed for children are well designed for everyone.

He has driven away his own minister, climate advisors, Indigenous communities, and progressive voters.
