Couple years ago, I invested in one of those big boy Kontakt bundles, primarily for the piano and acoustic guitar VSTs. The pianos have proven extremely useful compared to Logic's stock plugins. The acoustic has been so friggin frustrating that I've decided just recording them properly is easier.

Piano is so cool. The guitar fretboard is a friggin' rubix cube, but a standard keyboard is so intuitive while also packing infinite depth. I wish I was better at it.

Physically, I can't work a standard mouse or trackpad without incurring major wrist pain. Mentally, losing access to my preferred devices is debilitating. Commercially, I miss being able to buy a replacement* in-store.

Re neurodevelopmental conditions: diagnoses are increasing, but people aren't faking it. They were always there but not diagnosed--perhaps they couldn't access diagnosis, perhaps they were invisible because compensating, which came with acute anxiety (and frequent burnouts and mental health crises)
