oh my gosh the Met gala is NOT the hunger games made into dystopian reality, people! it is an annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute! I, for one, am pleased that famous people pay too much for their tickets and peacock around so that a museum can remain funded

don’t let the twee little cultural trends of our time blind you to the fact that Millennials are broke, feral hustlers who learned all of our survival skills from Gen X (the forgotten generation hiding in an alley, being ignored, smoking cigs and listening to the good music)
my patient asked her husband to put on the labor playlist he made for jusssssst this moment and that’s how her tiny, gorgeous baby girl arrived earthside to the dulcet tones of Young MC’s “Bust A Move” god, what a fun couple, I loved them
In Alaska, there’s an annual sled dog race called the Iditarod where mushers race 938 miles from Anchorage to Nome with a team of 12-16 sled dogs. This year, there’s an indigenous woman competitor named Jody Potts-Joseph who decked her team out in beadwork for the big race kickoff and I’m obsessed 🤩
Our federal government killed a disabled genocide survivor and is covering up for a child rapist. And that is just today’s news. It is just unconscionable to be treating this as normal or acceptable in any way. www.investigativepost.org/2026/02/25/b...

Too many people on Bluesky think that relentless expressions of despair are a sign of intellectual sophistication.
The thing about Catherine O’Hara is she is so hilarious and talented that I forgot she was mortal
I got so mad about what this administration is doing that I jumped on the treadmill and ran a mile as fast as I could. And I (usually) hate running with all my heart. I hate what’s happening more.

It's winter. Make sure your carbon monoxide alarms are working!
it is your DUTY as a parent to be basic and cringe. if your child says "6-7" and you do not say, loud enough for their friends to hear, "8-9?", causing profound silence and intense discomfort, you are neglecting your responsibilities. being cool is for kids. your days of being laughed WITH are over
might be time for a little re-watch of my favorite comfort movie of all time… “Death of Stalin” ⚒️

I think 2026 should bring the feral and weird vibes. Following the rules isn’t exactly working, so let’s crack open a few of our hoarded, old formula Four Lokos and break shit.
this reminded me of the time my husband announced, out of the blue and with great passion, that he would (one distant day) open a Jar Jar Binks themed bar and name it… Bar Bar Drinks 🥂 bsky.app/profile/meme...

A year ago, I became an L&D nurse. I didn’t know how to stop a hemorrhage or resuscitate a newborn, but I learned. I keep count of my deliveries with a bead jar: 🩷 for girls, 🩵 for boys, and 🤍 for my angel babies. I have 120+ deliveries under my belt and it’s just super cool to have a job I love 🫙
incredible photo that's definitely worth at least 1,000 words from Andrew Harnik of Getty
holy shit -- one of Trump's toadies just passed out and the White House event is brought to an abrupt end
My first protest was a union strike with my dad at age 10 (my future high school teacher got run over by a scab). I marched during different administrations, phone banked, attended meetings, etc…the online do-nothings complaining about protests not being perfect enough for THEIR liking are my enemy.
Some good, brave stuff happening

you’ll pardon me if I listen to the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology when they affirm that acetaminophen is safe for my pregnant patients over the opinion of a man who has zero expertise in, well, anything and sounds like a dying lawnmower when he speaks www.acog.org/news/news-re...
