New from me: LAPD released video from an in-custody death that occurred in July. Jose Carlos Hoyos-Munoz appeared to be in crisis as 6 to 9 officers beat him three separate times. One officer is seen putting his knee into the back and neck of Munoz. He died 20 min later. lataco.com/lapd-beat-ha...

Pathetic -- Google is now referring to Lake Ontario as "Lake America"
Good decision that undermines Marco Rubio's appallingly broad claims that he can deport people if he dislikes their speech.
A federal judge in California ruled that the Trump administration violated the constitutional rights of international students when it sought to deport them for criticizing Israel’s war in Gaza.
Extraordinary, powerful and heart-wrenching. Active duty Marine Colonel Zach Schmidt, speaking in his personal capacity, about Khalil, an Afghan national whose family helped U.S. forces in Afghanistan. Khalil was deported by the U.S. on Friday to a conflict zone.
they should make a horror movie where a guy accidentally gets into a machine with a fly, and the movie follows the fly as he slowly becomes human and is forced by the hand of capital to get a job, crying when he can't remember the last time he rubbed his hands together while standing on a windowsill
A consistent pitch by the makers of ai wearables is that they solve the problem of getting to know your child. www.businessinsider.com/parents-brea...
So many tech people seem to see the conflict between parenting and work as one in which work is the natural and moral victor. If you’re going to automate an aspect of your life, why wouldn’t it be the meetings rather than the spending quality time with your teenager?!
I got nothing.
So did Virgina Dems just give up and roll over on redistricting after the commonwealth Supreme Court decision?
I found this perfect little acorn today and was reminded of something I learned a few months ago that has stuck with me ever since. Healthy acorns don’t keep their caps. They only fall off to seed a new tree when they’ve outgrown them. What we see as ‘perfection’ is usually the opposite. 1/2

Breaking news: Indiana University plant microbiologist Roger Innes has been locked out of his laboratory by the school in response to a request by one of his federal funders. The move comes after Innes complained about the government’s prosecution of Chinese postdocs. https://scim.ag/4tsDqRr
Blerim Skoro risked his life undercover for U.S. intelligence, infiltrating al-Qaeda-linked networks. ICE arrested him outside a NJ immigration office while he was renewing paperwork. This is Trump’s cruelty machine. Know your rights: PAXIS.app Help keep it free: GoFundMe.com/PAXIS
He should do this more often, people across political spectrum just love data centers.
Trump claims that data centers "are gonna lower the electric cost" and urges local officials to embrace them 🙃
The majority of my Ai experience is it being the mandatory first step on customer service chat that never actually solves the problem but adds 5 or 10 minutes of wheel spinning until it finally relents and connects you to an actual person.
If I give the bully my lunch money every day eventually he will die of old age
Plainfield, NJ: masked men in plain clothes force a man down, punch him, pin him, then load him into an unmarked SUV. No badges. No marked car. No warrant. No explanation. Gang kidnapping? ICE abduction? Violence. Record everything: PAXIS.app Keep it free: GoFundMe.com/PAXIS
The range is scales is amazing and beautiful. Mind blowing how she can move from one to another. Simply wonderful ❤️
This must be the third video of wonderful voices singing global scales I have seen, and each is mesmerising and has taught me things I didn't know. Such as: That these scales exist and how they, the bare backbone of tunes, reflect and unlock whole world regions' music. This is amazing.

A masked, armed man steps on someone’s head and bounces. MAGA: “How do you know it was ICE?” PAXIS.app notes: That’s the point. ICE now looks and acts like militia cosplay fascists. If we can’t tell law enforcement from a gang, that’s state violence. Keep PAXIS free: GoFundMe.com/PAXIS
I also want to add that every single time ICE has physically hurt me, they have grabbed me by my chest. Most of my femme friends have said the same. I will not be surprised if / when we find out about twisted sexual assaults conducted by ICE agents with these gloves.
Wow. Proponents of the ICE taser gloves are openly saying that one reason they love the gloves is that they doesn’t leave any marks or proof that they were used, making it harder for people to sue when they’re shocked excessively.
But only if there was a news media to run it and bring it up constantly, like Fox would for a Democrat.
This clip alone would sink a normal President.

The personal information of untold numbers of Americans, not accused of any crime, are being fed into Homeland Security’s massive surveillance apparatus. Analysts warned of an “ungodly number” of false positives: claims are in the hundreds of thousands. The number prosecuted so far is in the dozens.
NEW: To prove the president’s claims of illegal voting, the government has harnessed the power of Homeland Security Investigations, a branch of DHS established to combat the worst cross-border crime. So far, the effort has produced meager results.
